Ms. Barbara Ann Anderson Nance was born on March 17, 1964 to the late Woodrow and Gladys Anderson. She went to her heavenly home on July 8, 2018 in Oak Ridge, TN. Barbara attended school in Oak Ridge and graduated from Tennessee School of Beauty in Oak Ridge, TN. Barbara spent her earlier years as hair stylist and her later years as a caregiver, which was her passion. While living in Chattanooga, TN she worked in the cafeteria at Memorial Hospital prior to relocating to Knoxville, TN. Barbara loved the Lord and her family. She was a mother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. Preceded in death by her father and mother; Woodrow and Gladys Anderson, grandmothers; Phyllis Anderson and Mary Ellen Evans, grandfathers; Dewey Anderson, Sr. and Frank Johnson, uncles; William, Dewey, and Richard (Pete) Anderson, aunts; Alice B. Anderson, Fannie Ball and Bertha Larry, brothers; Woodrow (Bubba) Anderson, Jr., James Melvin (Cowboy) Anderson, sister, Mary Anderson Martin, nephews; Terry and Ronnie Patton, niece; Johnisha Anderson and brother-in-law, Norris Patton Sr.

Saturday, July 14, 2018, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with service to follow at True Light Missionary Baptist Church, 3229 George Light Road, Knoxville, TN 37931. Elder Darris Waters officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park where a white dove release will conclude the service.
