Bertie Marie Kyle Witherspoon departed this life on May 26, 2019 at NHC Fort Sanders. Bertie was born July 3, 1943 to Andy Sr. and Sally Kyle in Lee County, VA. She worked in the Hotel/Hospitality industry for over 30 years.

Preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her sisters, Marye Robinson, caregiver of Knoxville, TN and Nellie (Julius) Thompson of Orlando, FL; brothers, Andy (Gertrude) Kyle, Jr. of Cleveland, OH, James Robert "Pap" and Dallas (Karen) Kyle, both of Knoxville, TN; a host of other family and friends to include special friend, Paul Wallstrom.

Wednesday, June 5, 2019, the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with service to follow at Trinity Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, 2615 Washington Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Superintendent Dr. Willie Jefferson officiating. Interment will take place Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Olive Cemetery, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN where a white dove release will conclude the service.
