Bertina White Obituary

Bertina Inez White, daughter of the late George and Bertie of Detroit, Michigan, received her call to be present with the Lord on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Turkey Creek Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. Affectionately know as Bert, she was employed by TDS Telecom (25 years) and Walgreens until she retired.

She leaves to cherish her memory: loving son and daughter Stephan and Michelle Yancey; one brother, George (Jackie) White of Houston, Texas; a host of other devoted family members and friends.

Saturday, March 30, 2019, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service to follow at Foster Chapel Baptist Church, 4012 Oakland Drive. Pastor Joseph Tolbert officiating. Interment will immediately follow at New Gray Cemetery where a white dove release will conclude the service.
