Catherine Lee Buley, passed peacefully in her sleep on January 14, 2018. She was born May 25, 1943 in Clearfield, PA. As a teen, she moved to Knoxville where she later married and raised her children. Cathy, as she was affectionately called, was a loving mother, grandmother and a devoted servant of our Lord. Cathy’s smile would light up a room and now she’s making the sky even brighter.
Preceded in death by her husband, Earl Buley; mother, Mary Jo Rice; father, Albert Cowley; brothers, Pete and Kenny and longtime companion, Charles L. McKinney.
Survived by children: Tony, Pam, Charles, Jr., Kevin and Kenny Buley, Sharon Mapp and Patrice (Jermaine) Buchannan; grandchildren and great grandchildren; eight siblings; other family and friends.
Saturday, January 20, 2018, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with service to follow at Community Evangelistic Church at 2650 Boyds Bridge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37914. Pastor Sanford Miller, Sr., Officiant and Elder Rick Rice, Eulogist. Interment to follow at New Gray Cemetery where a white dove release will conclude the service.
