Charles James Obituary

Charles Edward "Fat Daddy" James, age 67, entered eternal rest on November 19, 2018. He was born August 11, 1951 to the late J. B. and Bertha Wallace James in Knoxville, TN.

He was preceded in death by parents; sisters, Lucy Smith, Eloise Battle, Patricia Reeves, and Loretta Johnson; and brothers, Joseph "Joe" James, Jr. and Grady James.

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Melanie (Antwain) Taylor of Augusta, GA; son, Jeremy James; grandchildren, Ja'den and Jordyn Taylor; sister, Maggie (Joe) Davis; brothers, Fred (Gail) James and Willie (Casandra) James of Beloit, WI; special niece, Ingra Smith; special niece and god-daughter, Keziah Roscoe; former wife, Shirley James; special friends Sherman Tuggle, Debra Agnew, and Scot Cotner; and a host of other family and friends.

Saturday, November 24, 2018, the family will receive friends 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with service to follow at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 1807 Dandridge Avenue.
