Cicely Yvonne Peterson

Cicely Yvonne Peterson, age 39, born in Cleveland, Tennessee on August 2, 1978 passed from this life into her new life on July 16, 2018. She was a resident of Los Angeles, California.

Cicely is preceded in death by her grandfathers: John H. Peterson, Russel E. Toms, and Jessie White, Sr.; her sister, Joy Wright.

Cicely was a graduate of Cleveland High School.  She joined the United States Armed Forces serving as a Logistical Specialist in the United States Army. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Phoenix University and was a member of the Iota Phi Lambda Sorority Inc.

Cicely was a beautiful and vibrant young woman. She was an avid reader and explorer. She enjoyed music, comedy, animals and traveling.

She leaves her beautiful daughter, Amora R. Peterson; her loving mother, Ellaina Roberts; her Dad, Kenneth (Senora) Roberts; father, Jessie White, Jr.; sisters: Shadolla (Joseph) Utsu, Candice Roberts, Lesley Roberts; brother, Antonio Roberts; other siblings: Demetrius Ramsey, Jackie (Antonio) Welch-Palmer, Ebony White, Kaila Falker, Toya (Charles) Cobb-Moore, Jessica White, DeKesha (Antonio) Hill; her grandmothers: Patricia Toms, and Edna White; nieces: Bahja, Nadya, Arissa, Niveah; nephews: Sincere, Quintin; other nieces and nephews; a host of aunties, other relatives and friends; special friends: Adrius Hall, Raycene Whaley, Greta Looney, and Crystal Davis.

Family will receive friends Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:30a.m. St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 151 Short Street N.E. Cleveland, Tn.  Funeral services will begin at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Rhonda S. Westfield, Pastor.  Rev. Mitchell M.
