Dmitri LaVon Barnes, Sr., was born August 15, 1973 to the late Glenda Barnes-Beathea.  He went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2017.  Dmitri was a Cub, Boy and Eagle Scout with Troop #3778.  He was also a member of Great Light 300 Masonic Lodge.  He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater Salem Baptist Church (Chicago, IL).  

Preceded in death by his mothers, Glenda Barnes-Beathea and Mary Lee Barnes; father, Robert Louis Barnes, Sr.; brother, Robert Louis Barnes, Jr.; nephew, Robert Williams and uncle, David Barnes.

Left to cherish his memory: devoted companion, friend and mother of his children, Jrumeaia Riddle; children: NaNeeishia and Dmitri, Jr.; sisters: Sabrina(Tony) Sears, Zina Barnes-Dana, Tasha (Gene) Beathea-Morris, Toyneka Beathea and LaTisha Beathea; devoted aunt, Lue Barnes; cousins: Cynthia and Valencia; a host of other nieces, nephews, other family to include mother-in-law, Sandra McMillan; sister-in-law, LaSheika Jones; brother-in-law, Kent Lusk and the Bryson family; devoted longtime friends: John Dexter Johnson (Chicago, IL), Rueben Figueroa (Los Angeles, CA), Jermaine Gardner, Jimmy Douglass and Duane Banks and many friends from  Knoxville College, Brothers from Great Light 300 Masonic Lodge, co-workers/associates from SMD and Denso Manufacturing (Maryville, TN).  

Saturday, December 2, 2017, the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with service to follow at Mount Olive Baptist Church at 1601 Dandridge Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37915.  Reverend Jessie Williams, Pastor and Pastor Steve A.
