Enid Pearson

Enid Patrice Pearson, 63, of Oak Ridge, TN, passed away on Thursday June 6, 2019 at her home. Enid was born February 6, 1956 to the late Patricia M. Berry and Homer Harris in Knoxville, TN.  She graduated Fulton High School, Knoxville, TN in 1974. After graduation, she enrolled Fayetteville State University where she joined her beloved Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Delta Iota Chapter, at which time she was affectionately given the name “Peaches." Enid graduated Fayetteville State University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked as an educator for several years in both Washington State and Stafford, Virginia. Enid was a loving mother of three children and a devoted military wife for over 39 years.  A member of Oak Valley Baptist Church, she was a God-fearing woman who loved the Lord and has certainly gained her wings. She will be truly missed!

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia M. Berry; father, Homer Harris; brothers, Anthony Harris and Sammy William; sister, Catherine Douse;
uncle, John Moffett; aunts, Mable Moffett and Eleanor Taylor.

She is survived by her children: Joe Pearson, Chaunda Graham (Kwayu) and Brian Pearson (Mikeicha); grandchildren, Josiah, Jeremiah, Tamijia, Chynna, J’Kobe, Shirod, Jordan, Khloe, Kalonji, Kayelon and Brianna; great-grandson, J’mauri; brothers, Edward Bailey, Lester (Cheryl) Harris, Homer (Mona) Harris, Tommy (Sandra) Harris, Jay Harris, Erskin (Ann) Harris, Khalil (Devon) Harris, Marshall (Vicki) William and Jerome (Paula) William; sisters, Kathy (Jack) Borders, Vanessa (Wayne) Peake, Subrena (Horace) Glenn, Matilda Harris, Audrey Harris, Angela Harris, Sophia (Greg) Hunter, and Sonya William. 

She also had a second mother, Mary Harris; two cousins who were more like brothers, Randall Taylor and Russell Taylor; devoted niece, Whitney Peake; three friends, she affectionately called "her sisters," Bea, Mona, Shirley and several other nieces, nephews and friends.

Friday, June 14, 2019, the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow at Oak Valley Baptist Church, 194 Hampton Road, Oak Ridge, TN.  Pastor Derrick Hammond officiating.  Interment will take place the following morning at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park where a white dove release will conclude the service.  Flowers may be delivered to the church the day of the funeral service.  Professional arrangements entrusted to Patton Funeral Home, Brian L.
