Isaiah Caldwell, 81, of Oak Ridge, TN. passed on January 16, 2018 at Fort Sanders Hospital, Knoxville. TN.
Isaiah attended Spurgeon Chapel AME Zion Church for many years. He enjoyed sports, traveling, fishing, bar tending, cooking and spending time with this family. Isaiah worked at ORAU for 30 plus years as a Supervisor. He retired from UT Research Center, Knoxville.
Isaiah is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Williams Caldwell. They had been married from September 27th, 1962 until her passing April 6, 2015. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Ann Caldwell; mother, Sally Webster Caldwell Jones and father, Hart Caldwell.
Isaiah leaves to cherish his memory: son, Isaiah “Mike” (Sue) Caldwell, Jr.; daughters: Jean E. Caldwell, Brenda Dunn, Shelia Massey and Dorothy Hunter; grandchildren; Nikki (Justin) Fargas, Simone Pointer, Sydnei, Saniah, Simeon, Marcus, Michelle and Cameron Caldwell, Eric (Jeannie) Love, Xavier Dunn, Jamaca Oliver, Charles and Christopher Hunter; great grandchildren: Justice Fargas, Khayla Pointer, Eliana and Maya Love, Zurich, Kennedy and Kiera Dunn, Shaun Stewart, Jubrice Taylor, Mironae, Seth, Bryson, Konnor, Jordan, Jaelyn, and Caidynn Caldwell; brothers-in-law, Henry (Nettie) Williams and Robert E. Lee, Jr.; sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Arthur) Grisham, Gladys Billingsley, Janice and Belinda Lee; aunt, Corine Radical; uncle, Curt (Cleo) Harris; devoted cousins: Sally, Diane, Charlie and Joe Lewis; special friends: Reverend Margaret Mack, Fred Pettus, Jimmy and Diane McCracken; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends too numerous to name.
Friday, January 26, 2018, the family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with service to follow at Heritage Fellowship Church at 121 N. Illinois Avenue, Oak Ridge. Pastor Jason Prater, Senior Pastor and Reverend J. R. Bridgeman, Eulogist. Interment to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park where a white dove release will conclude the service.
