Jonah B. Caldwell, Sr., age 45, departed this life on July 10, 2018. He was a graduate of Austin East, Class of 1990. Jonah was currently employed as a Warehouse Manager at Coastal Supply Company. A faithful servant of Peace and Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church, Jonah served as Deacon.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Hazel Caldwell and Edward Porter, Sr.
Left to cherish his memory; wife, April Caldwell; children, Jonah B. Caldwell, Jr., Adarius McLeroy and Jadeja Wilson; grandson, Adarius Funches; mother, Shirley Caldwell; father, Edward Bailey, Sr.; siblings, Antonio Caldwell, Morenco (Ross) Staley, Dominique Bailey, Edward Bailey, Jr., Cornelia James, LaTerah Sleet and Darrell Corriander; grandmother, Elizabeth Bailey; god-daughters, Marshiya Smith and Chloe Gourley; a multitude of family to include in-laws, Teresa (Ronald) Robinson, Gary (Jean) Chandler, Sr., Alicia Mills Chandler, Talisa Stewart, Gary Chandler, Jr. and Nannie Moore and many friends too numerous to name.
Saturday, July 21, 2018, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Homegoing Service to follow at Peace and Goodwill M.B. Church at 1723 Washington Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Reverend John B. Jordan officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Mount Olive Cemetery where a white dove release will conclude the service.
