Mary Aniece Hill

Mary “Kemi” Aniece Hill transitioned from this life into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday June 2, 2018 at the age of 24. Mary was a graduate of Fulton High School Class of 2012 and was a Project Grad Scholar. She attended Tennessee State University and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She was in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Civil Affairs Specialist. Mary was an avid reader with a love for cooking and history. 

She was preceded in death by great grandmother and namesake, Mary Hill; grandmother, Betty Turner; great uncles, Kenneth and Leonard Hill. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: loving parents, Kimberly Hill and Jeffery (Tasha) Turner; devoted grandparents, David and Louise Moore; sisters, LaTonya “Nikki” Hill, Tiara Hill, Jade Turner and Jasmine Turner; brother, Jaylynne Turner; aunt, Jackie Turner; devoted aunt, Daveisha Moore; godmother, Helga Brown; devoted friends, Nakeyah Arnett and Shaniya Crocker; and a host of other family and friends. 

Friday, June 8, 2018, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow at Greater Warner Tabernacle AME Zion Church, 3800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37914. Reverend Dr. Cleo A. Brooks, Jr. officiating.  Interment will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Highway where military honors and white dove release will conclude the service.  All expressions of love may be delivered to the church Friday morning.  Professional arrangements entrusted to Patton Funeral Home, Brian L.
