Mikel Woods Obituary

Mikel Allen Woods, Sr., age 35, departed this life on February 4, 2018. Born January 26, 1983 in Tuskegee, AL, he was the youngest of three children. Mikel accepted Christ in 2009 and shortly after wed Ashley Evonne Boyce.

Preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Jones; father, Charles Willis; aunt, Pamela Covington; uncle, Marvin Woods.

He leaves to celebrate his life, wife, Ashley Woods; children: Alias, Malik, Ariana, Veronica, Mikayla and Mikel, Jr.; sister, Iesha Howard; brothers: Charles Moore and Anthony Jones, Jr.; devoted stepfather, Anthony Jones, Sr.; a host of other family and friends too numerous to name.

Friday, February 16, 2018, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with service to follow at New Friendship Baptist Church at 1933 Texas Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Reverend Joseph B. Smith, Jr. officiating and Anthony Jones, Jr., eulogist. All expressions of love may be delivered to the church the morning of the service.
