Peggy Thomas

Mrs. Peggy J. Kershaw-Thomas, after 82 prodigious years, transitioned this earthly life on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a charter member of St. John Baptist Church and a retired Administrative Assistant at Church Street United Methodist Church. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer J. Thomas, Sr.; mother, Jeanette M. Kershaw and sister, Marion Kershaw.

She leaves to celebrate her life: children, Bishop W. James (Antonia) Thomas, II, DeLyndra J. Thomas and Ramaan J. Thomas; grandchildren, LaChunte Thomas and Devani Thomas; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jastin, London, Rhythm and Remy; brother, Charles (Shirley) Kershaw; sister, Faye Hoffman and a host of nieces , nephews and other family members.

Saturday, November 23, 2019, the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2137 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN.  Bishop W.
