Prentis Elizabeth Nance Marvett, 56, of Knoxville, TN passed away peacefully at her home. Born December 7, 1962 to David and Edna Mae Carter in Knoxville, Tennessee, Prentis, called "Prenny" by family and close friends, was a member of McDonald Drive Church of Christ.

Left to cherish her memory: husband, Michael Marvett; three sons, Jerome, Jr. and Brandon (Jalisa) Nance, Treveil Maples; two daughters, Cynthia Maples and Candice Nance; 14 grandchildren; eight siblings, Johnny, Jacqueline, Don and Sandra Maples, Margie, Angela, Tracy and Jennie Carter; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Thursday, January 17, 2019, the family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with service to follow at McDonald Drive Church of Christ, 3800 McDonald Road. Minister Eric Bonner officiating. Interment will follow at New Gray Cemetery where a white dove release will conclude the service. Flowers may be delivered to the church the morning of the service.
