On Sunday, May 20, 2018, Rekia Marshea "Shea" Kinnebrew transitioned from earth to glory. She graduated Carter High School, Class of 2004. Shea was employed at NHC St. Mary’s as a Certified Nurse Assistant.
Preceded in death by infant daughter, DaZariah Smith and grandfather, McKinley Andrews.
Survived by children: DaMecia, Reonna, DeTrayven and ReZariah Smith; parents, Thurman, Jr. and S. Michelle Kinnebrew; sisters, Katoya “Cherrie” and Talesa “Nikki” Kinnebrew; grandparents, Marcia Battle, Thurman, Sr. and Rebecca Kinnebrew; aunts, Cheri Turner, LaTonya Washburn, Dawn Dixson, Angie (Perry) Booker, April (Carlton) Brown, Shirley Lundy and Yvette (Terry) Giles; uncles, David Kinnebrew, Greg (Teresa) Whitman and Damon Lenoir; a host of other family and friends.
Friday, June 1, 2018, the body may be viewed from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Open Door Church at 2806 Sherman Street, Knoxville, TN 37921.
Saturday, June 2, 2018, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at First Calvary Baptist Church, 1750 Delaware Avenue. Reverend Steve Simpson, officiant and Reverend Renee Kessler, eulogist. Interment will immediately follow at New Gray Cemetery where a white dove release will conclude the service.
