Richard Allen Brooks, Sr. was born June 24, 1955 in San Diego, California to the union of Thomas Wither and Agnes Nadean Brooks.

He was educated in San Diego public schools. Accepting Christ into his life, he diligently taught the word of God to anyone who would sit and listen. He was a Machine Operator by trade as well as being trained in other trade skills.

The Lord welcomed him into His loving arms on December 16, 2018. Richard, Sr. leaves his wife, Winona, other family and friends to cherish his life.

Friday, December 21, 2018, the family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with service to follow at College Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1837 Brandau Street, Knoxville, TN 37921. Pastor Bryant Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 where a white dove release will conclude the service.
