Robert Andrew Hackler, age 73, of Knoxville, entered eternal rest on Friday, May 4, 2018 surrounded by family.
He was born August 6, 1944 to Hugh Calloway and Martha Marie Jenkins Hackler in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Hugh Gene Hackler.
Survived by his wife, Betty J. Woody Hackler; daughters: Carol E. Hackler, Selena Parks and Trishanna Tillery; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, James L. Hackler of Brevard, NC and Charles R. (JoAnn) Hackler; sister, Judith (Leo) Whiteside; sisters-in-law: Brenda Nash, Gwendolyn Ann, Gloria and Margie Woody and Sasha Strum, all of Georgia; brothers-in-law, Freddie and Lewis Woody, both of Georgia; and a host of other family and friends.
Saturday, May 12, 2018, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with service to follow at Freedom Fellowship Christian Church, 4027 Papermill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37909. Pastor Derrick Wakefield officiating. Interment will take place on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at East TN State Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Highway, where military honors and a white dove release will conclude the service. The family will assemble at 4912 Oakbrook Court, Knoxville, TN 37918. Flowers may be delivered to the church the morning of the service.
