Rodney Reese Walker

Rodney Reece Walker, born September 10, 1957, obtained his heavenly status on April 10, 2018.  He was the son of the late Elijah and Margaret Bryant Drake and L.M. Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Zelma Reese Bryant; nephew, Justin Walker Riddles; great aunt, Fannie Mae Reese and special friend, Anita Wilkerson.

He leaves to cherish his love and memory: loving sisters, Deborah (Lewis) Porter, Karen (Donald) Hatchett, Ann Smith and Connie Johnson; devoted brothers: Michael Walker, Elijah Eddie Drake and Trent Smith of California; devoted and loving nieces and nephews: Leslie Walker, LaShaya (Sanford) Miller, Christina Drake, Quishaun Walker, Tauron (Celia Kirkham) of Georgia and Ashlee (Edwin) Trahan of Texas; a host of great nieces, great nephews and special friends to include Michael Logan. 

Monday, April 16, 2018, visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with service to follow at Community Evangelistic Church, 2650 Boyds Bridge Pike.  Elder Reginald Strong officiating.  Tuesday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m. the interment will take place at East TN Veterans Cemetery, Gov. John Highway, where military honors and a white dove release will conclude the service.  Flowers may be delivered to the church the day of the service.  Family and friends will assemble at 2936 Selma Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37914.  Professional arrangements entrusted to Patton Funeral Home, Brian L.
