Samuel Edward Hunter Jr.(Eddie), departed his life on March 9, 2018 at his home with his wife at his side. He was Samuel E. Hunter, Jr. born in Morganton, NC on November 26, 1946 to Samuel E. Hunter Sr. & Flossie Rutherford Hunter. He served in the U.S. Army and retired as a truck driver from Industrial Products.

He is preceded in death by father Samuel E. Hunter Sr., mother Flossie Mae Hunter, brother Robert Hunter.

He leaves to cherish his memories, wife Cheryl J Hunter; children Daphne (Randy) Monn, Marvin (Joanne) Irwin of NC, Trena Kennedy-Wimbley, Deidre Wimbley, Robert (Juanita) Wimbley, Shawn (Monica) Bridges, Natasha Stewart; sister Vernadean (Howard) Hunter-Stark and host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles.

On Thursday, March 15, 2018, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with funeral to follow at Cherry Street Churh of God Santified. Pastor Eric Satterfield officiating. Interment to immediately follow at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors and a White Dove Release.
