Sharell “Rell” Emanuel-Sims, age 43, entered eternal peace and divine healing on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Tennova Healthcare Turkey Creek Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. Born December 14, 1975 in Brooklyn, New York, her journey lead her to Knoxville, Tennessee where she became a member of Greater Mount Moriah FBH Church. She was a Tennessee Licensed Cosmetologist working at West Towne J.C. Penny Salon and Smart Styles Turkey Creek until she became ill.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harvey and Alberta Sims; aunt, Barbara Emanuel-Reid (Clarence) and uncles, Jeff Tyler and Anthony Sims.
She is survived by her daughter, Jalaisha Sims; parents, Elder Alexander, Sr. and Elizabeth Emanuel-Sims; brother, Alex “Man” Sims, Jr.; grandparents, Conley and Anna Emanuel; aunts, Thersa Anderson, Constance Emanuel-Tyler, Chanthini and Madia Sims; uncles, Harvey (Lisa) Sims and Mark (Cassie) Sims, numerous cousins and many devoted friends especially Rashetta Rose Mostella.
Saturday January 12, 2019, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with service to follow at the Greater Mount Moriah FBH Church, 2001 Western Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee. Elder Franklin Brown officiating and Bishop Alonzo Rodgers is the eulogist. Interment will immediately follow at Mount Olive Cemetery, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee, where a white dove release will conclude the service.
