Terri Janet Crippen Sweatman

October 19, 1953 ~ February 21, 2019 (age 65)

Terri was born October 19, 1953 in Knoxville Tennessee to the late Herman E. Martin Sr. and Nell Rose Martin. Terri transitioned into her new life on Friday February 21, 2019 peacefully in her sleep.  
Terri was an alumnus of Austin East High School class of 1971. She channeled her passion for helping others through her time as a Registered Nurse and after. She was a member of many flower clubs and cherished them dearly. She always found joy and peace when working in her garden and called it her therapy. She was a member of Community Evangelistic Church (CEC) and attended regularly. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; aunts, Opha Betty Hall and Elizabeth Toms; uncles, Mitchell, RC, and Camel Toms; brothers, Calvin, Brad, and Bart Crippen; and nieces, Elisa Crippen and great niece Michelle Parton.
She leaves to cherish her memory: son Marquis' (Carolina) McGee; sisters, Charlene Parton, Carol Crippen, Debbie (Franklin III) Young; brothers, Charles, James (Natalie) and Eddie Crippen; and numerous nieces, nephews, devoted loved ones and friends.
Saturday, March 2, 2019, the family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with service to follow at Community Evangelistic Church, 2650 Boyds Bridge Pike, Knoxville, TN.
