Wilma Stewart Obituary

Wilma Jean Stewart entered into eternal rest on August 24, 2019 at Parkwest Medical Center. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School Class of 1977; where she was a member of the cheerleading team. She was also an avid Wildcat fan. After High School Wilma earned a certificate from Rice College. Later on, Wilma worked many years at the Oak Ridge Preschool, where she became a special part of many children's lives. She was also employed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for over 10 years.

Wilma enjoyed cooking, reading, dancing, watching sports, and listening to good music. Most of all she enjoyed spending quality time with family and her precious grandchildren. They were her pride and joy.

Proceeded in death by her Father Dock A. Stewart, Mother Ocie Lee Stewart, Brother Dock Stewart Jr., and nieces Shakila Copeland and Kisha Smith.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Chelsea and Kelton Stewart, grandson Shane Black, and granddaughter Shania Stewart. Sisters, Delorise (John) Burum, Betty Stewart, Gwendolyn (Thomas) Moton, Odessa (Dave) Anderson. Brothers, Douglas, James (Laverne), and William Stewart. A host of loving nieces, nephews, and relatives too numerous to name. She will also be forever missed by her devoted friends, Tommy and Anthony Gibson, Patricia Goodman, Tina Henderson-Porter, Charles Bailey, Clarence Threat, Katrina Harris, Loretta Mitchell, Freddy G. Jones, and so many others.
