Aaron Bernard “Boat” Boatwright, age 69, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Knoxville, TN at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a respected member of the All Occasions Party Rentals (AOPR) team from its inception, serving as Operations Planner.  Aaron was a passionate sports fan, especially devoted to the University of Tennessee Athletics.  He had a deep appreciation for fine spirits, and was a true foodie who found joy in cooking and sharing meals with loved ones.

Aaron is preceded in death by mother, Katie Elizabeth Boatwright Thompson; step-father, Cecil S. Thompson, Sr.; sister, Marisa P. Boatwright; brother Cecil S. Thompson, Jr.; nephew Adairus F. Boatwright, devoted friend Lindsey C. Logan, Jr.; and grandparents William and Rachel Boatwright.  

He is survived by daughters, Rozina (Michael) Boatwright-Burris and Allyn Boatwight; granddaughters, McKayla Boatwight, Kataya (Dushawn) Miller, Saniyah Burris and River Boatwright; great-grandaughter, Sapphire Miller; sister, Tara (Sidney) Davis; nieces, Lindsay & Sinclaire Davis and nephew  Marcus D. Boatwright; aunt Marion S, Rives and devoted cousin Daphne Boatwright, as well as Terry Turner and the AOPR family and many beloved family and friends who are too numerous to name. 

The celebration of Boat’s life will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 4 pm at All Occasion Party Rentals  5825 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN.  Rev. Sidney E. Davis Jr., officiating.
