Adrian Lawrence, born on June 16, 1951, to Benjamin Lawrence, Jr. and Betty Lawrence, passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 73. Known to his friend as " City or A Train" He was tragically lost in a house fire alongside his father, Benjamin Lawrence, Jr., and his brother, Benjamin Lawrence, III. His mother, Betty, preceded him in death.
Raised in the vibrant community of High Point, North Carolina, Adrian was known for his warm smile and kind heart. He played basketball at Davison College. He was a singing/musician/song writer member with the Lawrence Brothers, which later became to Sons of Faith. He touched the lives of many in his community and beyond, leaving a legacy of love and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Adrian is survived by his beloved children: Adrian Lawrence Jr. from Nashville, TN, Victoria Lawrence (Nashville, TN) , and Brandon Goldston (Cleveland, TN). He is also mourned by his remaining brothers: Perry Lawrence Sr (Vikki) (Chattanooga, TN), Kim Lawrence (Cleveland, TN), Derrick Lawrence (Cleveland, TN) and Dr. Karl E. Lawrence (Chindi) (Knoxville, TN). Along with them, Adrian leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins who will forever cherish his memory.
Adrian’s love for family and friends was evident in everything he did. He cherished the moments spent with loved ones and was always there with a listening ear or a helping hand.
He will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered.
