Andrea touched the lives of so many people. Andrea was never afraid to tell you about yourself; but always willing to lend a helping to anyone at any time. Andrea was a true “Diva.” She was born May 12, 1982, in St. Louis, MO to Debra Lynell Merritt. Andrea graduated from Jennings High School and attended both Missouri Baptist College and the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She accomplished and achieved so many things in her life, yet her greatest reward was giving birth to her only son, Edward Nasir Lindsey, Jr. on February 3, 2012.
“EJ” was her entire world! Everything revolved around her love and care for her son. Andrea was an amazing mother; tough and steadfast. In 2015, she and EJ moved to Tennessee to be closer to her sister, Vonetta. She became employed at LHP, LLC where she helped transform so many people’s lives. She worked as a Housing Manager. The lives she touched became a part of her family; she often referred to them as “her peeps.” Andrea will be deeply missed by everyone she encountered.
She passed away August 30, 2021, at Parkwest Medical Center due to complications from Covid-19.
Preceded in death by her mother, Debra Merritt; grandmother, Marie Williams and uncle, Jerry.
Survived by her “main man,” son, Edward Lindsey, Jr.; sisters, Vonetta Merritt, Maureen Moore, Torri Quinn, Bridgette Finley and Bridgette Vance; brothers, Andrew Finley and Larry Quinn; nieces, Eboni, Auriyel, Lauren, Aniya and Chloe; nephews, Trevon, Andrew, Cayden, Carter, Hakeem and Cameron; best friends, Adonica Radford, Brandy Ford, Amanda Weber and Iris Sawyer; devoted friend and father of her son, Edward Lindsey, Sr.; special friends, Marvin, Chris, Ron and a host of other family and friends.
