Angela Revae Holmes Obituary
Angela Revae Womble-Holmes, affectionately known as Angie and Aunty- Anne to her family and friends, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on June 7, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on August 17, 1966, in the warm and vibrant city of Knoxville, Angie lived her life with the same warmth and vibrancy that marked her birthplace.
A beacon of love and faith, Angie's spirit was a testament to the Christian values she held dear. Her mother, Betty Tipton, and father, James Womble Sr., instilled in her a strong foundation of love and service, a legacy carried on through her children, Christina Stanton and Maurice Holmes, and further reflected in the joyous laughter of her grandchildren, Aurmoni Zyanne Beatty and Kiaura Shyanne Prentice, and her great-granddaughter, Robyn L. Davis.
Angie's life was a tapestry of familial bonds, woven with the threads of love shared with her siblings: James (Betsy-Houston) Womble Jr., Rochelle Womble, Michael Tipton Jr., and Stephanie Tipton. Her nieces and nephews: Geisha Bolden, Whitlee and Gavin Womble, Alex and Brandon, Jayda, Aiden, and Ivory, alongside her great-nieces and nephews: Navaiya and Tayten, K.J, Kehlani, and King Johnson, added vibrant colors and patterns to the fabric of her life.
Although preceded in death by her stepfather, Michael Tipton Sr., Angie's legacy of love and faith continues to resonate in the lives of those she touched. Her life was a living embodiment of the well-known quote by Mother Teresa, "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." Angie's thoughtful actions, whether a comforting word or a helping hand, were always carried out with great love.
Angie's unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She walked through life with a faith-filled heart, spreading love and kindness wherever she went. Her thoughtful gestures, of gift giving, listening ear and compassion, were the small acts of service that demonstrated her deep commitment to her Christian beliefs.
A loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Angie's life was a testament to the power of faith and the strength of familial bonds. In her passing, she leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones.
As we bid farewell to Angela Revae Womble-Holmes, we take comfort in the knowledge that her life was lived with purpose and that her spirit will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
