Arnette J. Dotson passed away peacefully on Febr 27, 2025 in Knoxville, TN.  She was born in Knoxville, TN on May 31, 1948 to William T. Johnson and Loraine Kizer Johnson.  Arnette was known to many as Momma or Ms. Arnette and she never met a stranger. She was the life of the party and was loved by so many.  Arnette loved cooking, shopping, and enjoyed being around family and friends.   She is preceded in death by: LaChanna Dotson (daughter), DaChanna Dotson (granddaughter), Dominique Johnson (grandson), Loraine Kizer Johnson (mother), William Johnson (father) and Claude and Lura Kizer (grandparents), Tammy Nolan (sister), and brothers Marvin and Michael Nolan (brother).

She leaves to cherish her memories:  son: James R. Houston II, grandchildren:  QuaShawn (Jeanine) Houston, Brilyn Houston, James (Damonique) Houston, William Byrd Jr., Mila-Rose Houston.  Great grandchildren:  Jaiden Ewing, Dominque Houston, Nasir Houston, Dachanna Byrd and Naomi Houston.  Sisters:  Michiko (Larry) McKinley and Pam Johnson.  A host of nieces and nephews to include Nicole (LaShone) Teachey, Dontaerione (Juniece) Taylor, Joe Sheadrick and Shaunta Sheadrick, Natashia Brown,  Altomese Nolan, and Joaquin Nolan; devoted cousins who were like sisters, Eunice Maddox and Endia Ross, many other cousins to include the Johnson, Thornhill, Madison, and Nolan families; special friends, Gayle Weaver, Vivian Moore and Roshannah Kyle.
