Artis Hiawatha Holt

Hiawatha (Artis) Holt, 79, of Lithonia, GA, formally of Knoxville, TN, made his transition Saturday, January 6, 2023. He was the son of the late Mrs. Mary Horton. Artis was a loving husband, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Family meant everything to him. 
Hiawatha was an avid fisherman, golfer, bid whist player and photographer. He loved fashion and was a dapper dresser, especially fond of shoes.
Hiawatha served in the U.S. Army and was very proud of serving his country. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Horton; brothers, Paul, Arthur, William (Piggy), and David Holt and aunt, Naomi Womble.

Left to cherish his memory; loving and devoted wife, Barbara Chandler Holt, sisters; Alice (Alonzo) Amos, Phyllis Mc Dermott, brother; Ronnie Holt, devoted cousin, James Womble, cousins; Pastors  America (Melvin) Miller, Elder Janice (Maurice) Donaldson, sister-in-law; Charlotte Holt, Jackie Chandler; brothers-in-law, Gary (Jean) Chandler, Brian (Sheena) and Michael (Jackie) Chandler, aunt; Brenda (Theodore) Chandler, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friend George Jackson.
