Betty Louise Ewing-Tipton Obituary

Betty Louise Ewing Tipton, beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, and grandmother, passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 78.  She was a loving and caring person whose kindness and strength touched everyone who knew her.

A faithful member of Greater Warner Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church, Betty was a devoted wife and mother who always put her family first.  She had a special way of making others feel cared for, whether through her words, her actions, or simply by her presence.  She will be remembered for her kindness, humor, faith, fishing and for making the BEST homemade chicken and dumplings in the entire state of Tennessee!

She is survived by sons, James (Betsy) Womble Jr., and Michael Tipton Jr., and daughter Rochelle Womble, step-daughter Stephanie Tipton, sister Retha Beal, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two special daughters-in-love, Katrina Wilson and Trunda Brown, and a ton of nieces, nephews, and friends, who will forever cherish the love and memories she gave them. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Michael Tipton Sr., her recently deceased daughter Angela Holmes, 10 brothers and 2 sisters.

She will always be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
