Betty Thomas

Miss Betty Thomas was born on October 30, 1938, and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee's Bearden area. She graduated from Bearden High School and lived a life devoted to God and family. Ms. Thomas attended Temple Baptist Church and enjoyed going shopping with her sister, Emma Lee, as well as visiting the hair salon with her daughter, Elizabeth. Her grandson, Javvor, often invited her to his home for cookouts and special events, and she cherished going out to eat with her other grandson, Robert. Ms. Thomas loved chatting with her granddaughter, Samira, over the phone as it brightened up her day. She held her only son, Jerry, dear to her heart and he looked after her for many years before she had to move in with her daughter, Nancy, due to health concerns. Nancy was always there to help Ms. Thomas with anything she needed around the house.

Miss Betty was loved by many, She grew her wings on August 25th, 2023 at her residence with her daughter. Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by her mother and Father, Linnis and Lois Thomas; sister, Emma Lee; brothers, Linnis Jr., Hugh, and Ira.

She leaves to mourn her passing to her daughters, Elizabeth and Nancy Thomas; and son, Jerry Thomas; Grandchildren, Robert (Robtrice, Summer, Robiona, Robert Jr., Robquez, Robquan),Javvor( Javvarah, Heaven, Jayla, Javvor Jr., Austin, Javvon), Samira (Amira, Jaliyah, Dreiona,Andraya,Jurraille,Dreviyon), John (Camilla), Tiara (Antonio) Kaynisha,Jalaysia, Mariah. And lifelong and unwavering Family friend Jerry Cantrell and family.
