Beulah Phillips Obituary

Death is just a gateway we must all pass through to graduate into eternal life. At the blessed age of 78 years old, Beulah Lillian Boaz Phillips passed away Monday, November 22, 2021. 

 

On August 21,1943, she was born to Willie L. Lattimore-Boaz and W. D. Boaz, who preceded her in death. 

 

She was also preceded in death by her uncles: Hubert, Felix, Henry, Eddie, Robert, Arthur, Jim, and J.L.; her aunt, Beulah Mae Lattimore McCleary; and a cousin (brother) Colonel. 

 

She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Stephanie Dawn Phillips her friends Michael Cross; one grandson, Michael Stuart Wood; her cousin (sisters), Sue Goode and Betty Joe Berry; cousin (brother), Benny (Yvonne) Lattimore; a good friend, Rita McDermott; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

 

She loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Watsons Chapel AME Zion church in Charleston. She served on the Deaconess Board, the Kitchen Committee, as a Missionary. Beulah showed love and care for others, setting an example that if you give love, it will come back to you. She loved flowers and had the ultimate green thumb, she was also an awesome cook, known for her delicious Pound Cakes (aka P.C.). She loved her Art and Craft and the friends she shared the time with. She will truly be missed, but we will see her on the other side.

 

Thursday, December 2, 2021, the body may be viewed from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Patton Funeral Home Chapel, 265 Fair Street S.E., Cleveland, TN. Social distancing and face coverings required. 

 

Friday, December 3, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 2:00 p.m.to 2:30 p.m. at Watsons Chapel AME Zion Church, Charleston, TN. Social distancing and face coverings required. A funeral service to follow for immediate family and close friends. Rev. Joseph Holmes is the officiant and Rev. James Parris of Star Bethel Baptist Church (Etowah, TN) is the eulogist.
