Mrs. Beverly Francine Hill Sligh, 67, of Bean Station, TN, passed away on November 18, 2023, in Chicago, IL, after short illness with Cancer. Beverly was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield, CA.

Beverly was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 12, 1956. She graduated from Thornton High School and continued to receive a Bachelor's in Business Management from Jackson State University in MS, and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in AZ.

Beverly worked as an Accounting Administrator for the State of California Public Utilities Commission in San Francisco, CA, for 26 years. Beverly also served as a Petty Officer First Class in the U.S. Navy for 20 years.

Beverly enjoyed traveling, riding her Can-Am Three Wheel Motorcycle, and Gardening. She was also actively involved in the Knoxville TN Chapter of the Links Inc., Girls Inc. of Hamblen County, Tennessee Federation of Democratic Women, Morristown Task Force on Diversity, and East Tennessee Veterans of Foreign Wars. Beverly was on the First Air Honors Flight for Women Veterans from East Tennessee.

Beverly is preceded in death by her mother, Eula B. Hill.

Beverly leaves behind to cherish her memories of 25 years together with her husband, Zeb D. Sligh, Jr.; step-children Shannon Sligh (Michelle) L'Amour (L.A.) Sligh, David Williams, Maxine Davis, and Kristina Sligh. Beverly's Father, Van E. Hill, Sr., Brothers Van Hill, Jr. (Iris) and Joseph Hill Sr. (Deneen) of Chicago, IL. Sisters-in-law Shirley McKinney, Betty Winton, and Rosalind Martin of Knoxville, TN. Beverly will be missed by good friends Tamera Godfrey of Concord, CA, Judge Hazlyn Fortune of Oakland, CA, Verneal Brumfield, and Anna Gilbert, both of Fairfield, CA, Leonia McQuarters Johnson of Knoxville, TN, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
