Brenda Pauline Dunn Obituary

Brenda Pauline Dunn was born on November 29, 1949 to Rosella Mackerson in Knoxville, TN. As a young girl Brenda accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a devoted woman of God who loved her family, friends, and co-workers.

Brenda was a graduate of Austin High School Class of 1968. She joined in matrimony to Thomas “Tommy” Edwin Dunn on December 24, 1969. Out of this union three children were born. 

Brenda was a dedicated care giver for Open Arms Care of Knoxville, TN until her health declined. 

One of Brenda’s favorite past-time was Online Shopping. Through this hobby, she loved to bless her family with gifts and special collectibles. Brenda was extremely resourceful. She sewed and mastered execution of many DIY home projects. This earned her the nickname as “Bob Villa” by her family. Additionally, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Brenda entered her eternal home on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Edwin Dunn; Mother, Rosella Mackerson; brother, James Mackerson; sister, Rachel Mackerson and special cousin, Cecil Mackerson. 

Brenda leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Tina Dunn, Thomas “Tommy” Dunn (Taquasha) and Taurus Dunn (Terica) all of Knoxville, TN; her beloved grandchildren; Jamar, Tommie-Nicole, Tamera, Jaumani, Jaxavier and Trinity; great-grandchildren, Jasyis, Tynslynn, Aumani, Tymir and Ja’Nyri; last surviving sister Annette Adams; niece, Raquel Russel (Donald); nephew, Tyrone Mackerson, special cousin, Francis Mackerson and longtime family friend Areatha Gilbreath.
