Brendon Maurice Layne

Brandon M. Layne departed this life on July 2, 2018. He was born September 23, 1989 to Kevin Layne and Lisa Holloway in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Austin East High School, Class of 2007. After high school, he attended the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Brandon was currently employed at KAT as a Public Transit Operator. 
Preceded in death by his grandfather, James Layne, Sr. and grandmother, Barbara Jean McKenzie.

Left to celebrate his life and legacy: children, Aryanna, Brycen and Brelynn; parents, Kevin Layne, Lisa Holloway and stepfather, Antoine Holloway; sisters, Vanessa and Kevon; brothers, Isaiah Sherfield, Tevin and Jonah; grandmother, Floraine Layne; aunts, Allison (Venice) Foster, Angela Brodie, Kristy (Curtis) Thomas, Felicia (Andre) Blake and Sharon Layne; uncles, James Layne and Edward Billingsley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to include devoted friend, Kenyattia "Kay Kay" Williams.

Thursday, July 12, 2018, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with service to follow at Overcoming Believers Church, 211 Harriet Tubman Street. Pastor Daryl Arnold officiating. Interment will immediately follow at New Gray Cemetery where a white dove release will conclude the service.
