With deepest sorrow, Brodrick Jerome Gipson, Sr. “BG,” age 36, was called home to be with the Lord on July 11, 2021. He was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend who loved his family dearly. Brodrick was loved by so many people and left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. On any given day, he could brighten a room with his infectious smile! Brodrick loved going out, attending his children’s activities, and spending quality time with those he loved most his family. Brodrick’s children, mother, friends, and longtime girlfriend, Debrea, were his greatest joys!
Brodrick was loyal and respectful as well as respected by many. He had a big heart and would help anyone in need. He also loved telling jokes.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Sammie E. Hall Nelson, Harvey Elder, Sr. and Anna M. Gipson; cousin, Sean Gillespie and other relatives, Josh Rodgers, Helen Cates and Regina Rodgers.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Armani, Brodrick Jr. and King Gipson and De’Andre Smith; stepchildren, Garrin Bailey and A’Blessen Williams; loving and devoted mother, Debbie Elder; father, Byron T. Gipson, Sr.; siblings, Turkea Gipson Smith, Byron Gipson, Jr., Stacey Gipson, Autumn Gipson, I’Shay Gipson and Jillvonnie Clark; aunts and uncles, Harvey, Eleanor, Tony (Sylvia), “Hoot Toot,” Joyce, Walter, Denyse, Mary, Clarence, Kirk and Melinda; godmother, Sherry Brabson; devoted friends, who were more like brothers, William “Monty” Nichols, Travis Gipson, Tony Gipson, Derick Armstrong, Debo, Mardy Mar, Shawn B., Lil Eddie, TC, Dre Brown, Roy Browner, Dre Watson, V-Ladd, Kent Elder, Gary "Bonie" Armstrong and DeMontrai; a host of other family and friends too numerous to name.
