Bruce Alexander Logan
December 11, 1942 ~ December 8, 2023 (age 80) 80 Years Old
Bruce Alexander Logan, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2023, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 80. Born on December 11, 1942, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Bruce's life journey was marked by his generous spirit, deep faith, and analytical mind.
A proud graduate of Austin High, Bruce carried his love for learning and community to the University of Tennessee, where he furthered his education before earning an Associate degree from Walters State College. His academic achievements were only a prelude to a life dedicated to service and enrichment.
Bruce answered the call of duty and served his country with honor as a veteran of the United States Army. His time in the service instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life.
After his military service, Bruce returned to civilian life and quickly became known in his community for his generosity and faith-filled nature. His analytical mind found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as attending car shows, exploring flea markets, and most importantly, preaching the gospel. Bruce's passion for sharing his faith was evident to all who knew him, and his words of wisdom and encouragement left a lasting impact on many.
Bruce's love story with life did not end with his own accomplishments. He was a beacon of support and love for his family. Although he was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Sadie Logan, and his siblings, Kenneth and Harold Logan, and Barbara McClain, his son, Bruce Logan Jr. his legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren. His daughters, Sheneka Logan and Lydia Adams, Bruce's grandchildren, Bryce Logan, Ayauna, and DeAnte Adams, and a host of family members.
Bruce's life was a tapestry woven with the threads of his interests, his work, his faith, and above all, his love for his family. The void left by his passing is felt by a host of family members who were blessed to know him and learn from him.
As we say farewell to Bruce Alexander Logan, we remember a man who lived his life with purpose and joy. His presence was a gift to all who encountered him, and his memory will continue to inspire those he left behind. We take solace in knowing that Bruce's story is not one of an end but a continuation through the lives he touched and the love he spread.
Bruce's life will be celebrated in a manner that honors the values he held dear. His journey on earth has concluded, but the echoes of his generous, faith-filled, and analytical approach to life will resonate for generations to come. We bid Bruce a fond farewell, knowing that his spirit will always be with us.
