Bulah Mae Tate was born May 2, 1946, in Tupelo, Mississippi to John and Casey Sanders. Departed this life and April 24, 2022, at UT Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Rhodes; sisters, Jennie Pannell, Mary Curd and Johnny Mabry.
Bulah Mae was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and caregiver. She served her community as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Hillcrest Northand Serene Manor for over 40 years. She had the biggest heart and loved everyone she met. She loved to cook and be around family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Bobby Tate; sons, Barry Sanders, Larry Jones, Chalmade Bell, and Jackie Bell; daughter, Connie Bell; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends including a special friend Margaret Bolden (sister-in-law).
Tuesday, May 3, 2022, family and friends will recieve friends from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Payne Avenue Baptist Church, 2714 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings required. Funeral service to follow with Reverend Michael Cleveland eulogist and Reverend R.S. Brown, Jr. as the pastor. Flowers may be delivered to the church prior to the viewing.
Wednesday, May 4, 2022, interment at 12:00 p.m. at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN, where a white dove release will conclude the service.
