Calvin D Frazier Sr., age 80, of Knoxville, peacefully returned to his heavenly Father on September 20, 2021.
He was born on March 12, 1941, to the parents of Guilford and Aline Frazier.
As a youth, he was a top athlete in community sports. He was a graduate of Austin High School and attended Knoxville College. He would later become a Defensive Coach for the Knoxville College Bulldogs. Calvin, Sr. was employed at Rohm and Haas where he was a jack of all trades. He did everything from cooking to engineering chemicals to manufacturing plastic. He was a dedicated worker and retired after many years of service.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be terribly missed and forever cherished.
Preceded in death by his wife, Janice Tate Frazier; sons, Calvin “Dodie” Frazier Jr. and Eric Spencer Frazier and parents, Guilford Frazier and Aline Frazier Davis.
Survived by his two daughters, Rhonda E. Frazier and Tracy D. Frazier- Spell; grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Bishop Dwight Frazier and Clark “Spooky” Frazier; a host of nieces, nephews and friends to include lifelong devoted friend, Rosalyn Poole.
Monday, October 4, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Greater Warner Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church, 3800 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings are required. A funeral service will follow for immediate family and close friends. Flowers may be delivered to the church the morning of the walkthrough.
