Calvin Le’Roy Strickland

Calvin Le’ Roy Strickland was born January 30, 1981, to Ethel Strickland & Nathaniel Stewart, Jr, in Memphis, TN. He gained his wings on October 30, 2022. He had a warm smile and spirit and loved his family. He was very friendly and a very outgoing person. He loved hard and enjoyed making people happy. He blessed people he encountered throughout his life by providing support and assisting with their needs.

Calvin, known to most as "K or Kong," "Strick or Lil' Calvin," grew up in Hermitage, TN. He was a man that lived his life to the fullest. He was a socialite and stood out in his community; most consider him a charmer. He loved breeding dogs, playing video games, cars, and music. You were most likely to hear Calvin coming before he arrived. He would be miles away; everyone would say here comes, "K." He loved to shop and dress to impress; he had a huge heart and a great spirit. He had an even bigger smile that would light up any room and change any mood. He would leave an impression on anyone he encountered.

Most importantly, he was family oriented and loved being with his family. He wanted to experience life with his family by his side. He was a huge fan of Horror movies, loved the rain, and loved to eat. "K" would eat you out of the house & home, literally! He was loved by many and will forever be cherished, and may his memories never be forgotten! We know he gained his wings and will forever watch over us.
