Carlos Santez McConnell Obituary

Carlos Santez McConnell was born on June 16,1970. He transitioned to his eternal rest of September 15,2025 with family at his bedside

At a young age, Carlos attended Second Missionary Baptist Church and joined at the age of fourteen under the pastorate  of Rev. Dr. Paul A McDaniel. He sung in the youth choir. 

Carlos attended Tyner high school and graduated in 1988. He worked for the  Bradley county sheriffs department, Hamilton County sheriffs department and Blue Cross Blue Shield. He became a mason in 2006 to Lillie White Lodge #293 Prince Hall Affiliate Free and Accepted Mason. He became a shriner in 2007 to Hyksos Temple #123 of the A.E.A.O.N.M.S. 

Among those who preceded in death include his parents, Sanford McConnell and Emma Cravens, his sisters Priscilla Franklin and Tanya Bledsoe, his grandparents Lester and Helen  Cravens, and Godfather Charles Powell. 

Cherishing his memories include his three daughters Ariel (Jonathan) Smith, Arica McConnell, and Alexis McConnell, and one son Carlos Desean McConnell; brothers, Marlon Davis ,Wayne (Karen) Davis and Rickey Farmer; sisters, Angela (Glenn) Ford and Angela McConnell. Other siblings include those from the Sanford and McConnell family. 

Nieces and newphews , DarWaynia (Marcus) Dunson, Natasha Davis, Sophia Shippey, Wayne Davis Jr.,Sean-David Davis, Marlon Davis, Leroy (Ebonie) Scott, Charleston Scott, Tevin Scott and Michael Garner; Godmother Velma Geraldine Powell ; six grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Special thanks to his good friends Reginald Gilmore, Scott Masssengill  and Marvina Varner.
