Carlos Cozart Yarbrough Obituary
Carlos Leander Cozart Yarbrough entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
Born January 8, 1983, he was the son of Hubert Yarbrough and Carla Cozart who preceded him in death. Carlos attended Sevier County High school where he was known for being the life of the party. Los, as family and friends called him, loved his family, especially his cousins. Whenever Los was around, everyone knew he came with plenty of jokes and to have a good time. He loved listening to music and watching football too.
Throughout his adulthood, Carlos faced some challenges, but it did not stop him from wanting and doing better for himself. He was constantly setting goals and achieving them at a pace that was most comfortable for him. In 2021, Carlos completed a 12-month program at Turning Point in Moultrie, GA where upon completion, he was asked to come on board as a staff member. He had done so well but his heart was back at home in his community of Lonsdale. During this time, he encountered some awesome people who have said, “He touched all of our hearts and really made a positive impression on staff and patients alike.”
Carlos was welcomed into the arms of Jesus joining his parents, brother, John “Pache” Mack Jr., maternal grandparents, Billy and Mary Cozart and paternal grandmother, Charlotte Yarbrough.
He leaves to cherish his memory: siblings, J.R., Darvin and Amber Yarbrough; aunts, Ruby (Hillavery) Thompkins and Melissa (Herman) Harrell; uncles, Jimmy (Cynthia) Williams, Kennedy (Ingrid) and Sylk Cozart, Greg (Willamena), Richard (Precious) and Raymond Yarbrough; great aunt, Glennie (John) Mills; a host of other family and friends to include godmother, Leu-Alla Cobb Hunter, Helen Ross McNabb and the Lonsdale Community.
