Carmen Michelle Sharp (Bird), 52, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, after a very brief illness. Carmen was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. “She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul.” Carmen attend Holston High School, class of 1985. Carmen moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to join the construction trade, and after 20 years of perfecting her craft, she went on to join Marvel Studios to build movie sets for the top box office films.
Carmen was an avid motorcycle rider. She loves being with her friends and always had a fun-loving spirit. Carmen's favorite comic superhero was Superman and a passionate Atlanta Falcons fan. Carmen will be missed but not forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles H Sharp.
Survived by parents Robert and Norma Manning, brother Rodger D Sharp (Lana) nephews Bryson M Sharp of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Darius R Richardson and Darrian M Sharp of Knoxville, Tennessee; devoted and cherished Aunts Louise Sharp and Betty Lyons of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Helen Jones of Gambrills Maryland; loving cousin Jabbar Whitehead; best friends and caregivers Jeffery Brown and Rita Peterson and host of cousins and friends.
Friday, February 7, 2020, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with funeral to follow at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2137 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Bishop Farris Long officiating. Interment will immediately follow at New Gray Cemetery, where a white dove release will conclude the service.
