Carolyn June Chambers-79, passed away on June 24, 2023, in Jacksonville, Florida, after a lengthy illness. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Carolyn was born to late parents Cy and Anna Lois Thompson. She lived many places as a military wife but settled back in Tennessee in 1977 where she resided until 2011 following an extended illness. Carolyn found great fulfillment in mentoring young ladies in recovery working with Knox Area Rescue Ministry and enjoyed puzzles in her free time.

Preceded in death by daughter Rhonda Chambers, Siblings Harold Thompson, Joannna Booker, Roy Thompson, and Charles Thompson.

Carolyn leaves to cherish grandchildren, Antoine(Noni) Bowden, Torrey Chambers, and Annelle Chambers. She also leaves eight great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and Special Friend of the Family Mildred Mayes.
