Cedric V Isom

Cedric V. Isom, 29, passed away suddenly Sunday, August 14, 2022. He was born April 8, 1993, to Raymond Isom II and Minnie Johnson.

A loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Cedric was most proud to be the father of his five beautiful children, who he loved deeply. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, riding motorcycles, and working on his uncle’s farm. Cedric was a graduate of Austin-East Magnet High School class of 2011 and completed the Welding Program through Job Corps. He was employed by Knoxville Utilities Board where he worked in underground construction. Cedric was known for his warm and loving spirit, his gift to make anyone laugh, and his infectious smile that could immediately brighten someone’s day.

Cedric is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Isom II; grandmother, Mattie K. Moore; and grandfather, Charles Slay.

Cedric leaves to cherish his memory, three sons, JaMarquis, Kiyan, and Kason Isom; two daughters, Kylee Raye and Karter Isom; mother, Minnie (Vincent) Johnson; grandmother, Etta Slay; two brothers, Antonio (Ebony) Moore, and Raymond Isom III (Alex); three sisters, Chloe Isom, Britanie Isom (Chris), and Tiffanie Isom (Christian); aunts, Rosemary Mack, Terri North, Ali Slay, and Ramona Stewart; uncles, Mark Isom, Raymond Allen Isom, Mickey Moore, Anthony North, Charlie Moore, Ervin Moore, Leonard “Chatt” North, Michael North, and Robert North; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.

Saturday, August 20, 2022, family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Greater Warner Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church, 3800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. A Celebration of Life to follow with Elder James R. Rice, eulogist. Interment to follow at Oak Grove A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, 5667 Washington Pike, Knoxville, where a white dove release will conclude the service.
