Educated in Knoxville City Schools, he later joined the U.S. Navy where he proudly served and was Honorably Discharged. He earned his doctorate degree from Anderson Theology Seminary. Charles was a minister who loved to preach the gospel. A devoted member of St. Joseph House of Prayer, he labored tirelessly as an Armor Bearer for over 15 years, mentored to the Brothers in Christ, was a keeper of the temple and cared for the sick and shut in. He was indeed a great neighbor, friend, prayer warrior who shared himself so freely and with so many. His personal enjoyment was riding his motorcycle called “Batmobile.” He referred to that time as “Wind therapy.”
