Chenelle Nicole Johnson, a radiant soul known for her loving nature and creative spirit, departed this life on Friday, September 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and generosity. Born on December 3, 1982, Chenelle's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the beauty of a life well-lived.

Chenelle was the epitome of a devoted daughter, whose beautiful spirit shone brightly in every aspect of her life. A proud graduate of Karns High School, Chenelle went on to hone her talents at Cosmetology Technical School, where she excelled and found her calling. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to carve out her own path in the beauty industry, where she became a respected nail technician. Chenelle's dedication to her clients and her craft earned her a reputation for excellence, and she nurtured the relationships she built through her work with great care and attention.

Chenelle's life was blessed with loving relationships, and she is survived by her cherished husband, Jason Johnson, of Knoxville, TN. She was the beloved daughter-in-law to Kevin and Rosland Johnson, also of Knoxville, and a stepmother to her adored bonus son, Silas Johnson. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her world.

Preceded in death by  grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Clifford M. Jones of Rockwood, TN.


She leaves behind a loving tapestry of family members who will cherish her memory, including her father, Roy Mitchell of Knoxville, TN; her mother, Laura Cooke of Rockwood, TN; her sisters, Tamara Lacole Mitchell and Arianna Mitchell; her nephews, Xavier Stewart and Tamarian Stewart of Knoxville, TN. Chenelle's special uncle, Herbert (Nelia) Jones of Tampa, FL; her dear cousins, Jennifer Adkins of Baltimore, MD, Tianna Weigand of South Korea, and Brian Jones of Tampa, FL, will also hold her close in their hearts. Her loving dog, Lennox, who was a constant source of joy and companionship, will miss her presence dearly. A multitude of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, too numerous to name, join in mourning the loss of such a remarkable woman.

Intelligent, loving, and creative are but a few words that encapsulate the essence of Chenelle Nicole Johnson. Her ability to see the beauty in the world and in others, to create joy and to spread love, was unparalleled. She will forever be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of everyone she touched.

Chenelle's spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her memory will be a guiding star for the countless lives she graced. Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and love will not be forgotten, and she will truly be missed by everyone she touched.
