Christopher Todd Reeves, affectionately known as “PJ” and lovingly remembered by many as “Superman,” passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 59.

Born on June 6, 1967, Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda Sue Means Reeves and Raymond Reeves.

PJ was known for his infectious smile, quick wit, and generous heart. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to make people laugh. A hardworking man and former employee of Buddy’s Barbecue, he took pride in everything he

did. He loved cooking, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and, above all, spending time with his family.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved daughters, Christauna (“Dae”) Reeves and Chrishonda (“Poot”) Reeves; his cherished grandchildren, Jionni Hubbs ,Jazius Reeves, Tee’Ari Reeves, Harmonee Reeves, and Harmyah Reeves; his brother, Rod (Norma) Reeves; his sisters, LaKesha Reeves McKnight and YuVonka M. Reeves; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends including devoted friend Jowana Dunlap who will forever cherish his memory.

PJ will be remembered for his laughter, kindness, unwavering love for his family, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
