Clarence Eugene Smith Sr. born May 2, 1974. He departed this life April 16, 2021. He was affectionately known to his family and friends as “Rabbit.” Rabbit was a caring and loving son, brother, father, and grandfather. He was loyal, committed, and supportive of his family and friends. He was a graduate of Carter High school, Class of 1993.
Preceded in death by grandmother, Christine Buley.
He leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Clamesha and Caleah Smith; son, Clarence Smith Jr.; granddaughter, Camoura Smith-Marcus; grandson, Niko Dashawn Boatwright; loving and devoted mother, Kathleen Carter; sister, LaChanta Carter (Nicole); mother of children, Johneshia Edwards; uncles and aunts, John Sr. and Betty Smith, Gwendolyn Smith, Janice and Jeffery Littlejohn, Darrell Brabson, Mark Brabson and Craig Brabson; cousins, Linwood (JoAnn), Roy, Von, Douglas, John Jr., Tasha, Jenifer, Jalisa, Jawanza (Reuben) and Marcellos; devoted friends, Trey Colquitt, David Hardin, Gary Chandler Jr., Kareem Smith, Mark Brown, Brian McCray, Kim Jackson, Eagle, Debbie Edwards, Robin Flowers, Morris Flowers, Ora J. Chandler and a host of other relatives and friends too many to mention.
Monday, April 26, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2137 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Followed by a private service with Reverend Dr. Charles F. Lomax, Jr. officiating. Interment to follow at New Gray Cemetery where a white dove release will conclude the service. During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order No. 17 (COVID-19). All expressions of love may be delivered to the church the morning of the walkthrough.
