Claude Edward Holman Obituary

Claude Edward Holman was born in Detroit Michigan on July 28, 1960, to Claude and Christine Holman. He spent his entire childhood in Detroit Michigan. 

He attended elementary school through high school and received his GED. In May 1978, he enlisted in the United States Army in Active Duty, then transitioned to the National Guard, and retired in Oct 2002. During his 20 yrs of service, he accepted Christ as his savior and later became a minister in the Baptist Church. His only son, Christian was born September 26, 1982. He met Christine Pierce in 1999 and they married in May 2001. He inherited a daughter, Alexis, by marriage. After retirement, Claude worked at AT&T as a Technician. After leaving AT&T, he volunteered at the Lansing Food Bank. Him and Christine moved to Louisville, Tennessee in Dec 2020. After moving to Louisville, him and Christine joined Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church. He served as a minister under the title of Local Preacher. Claude ministered in the community by working with "Meals on Wheels" and giving away vegetables from his garden. He loved Jesus and enjoyed discipling people where ever he went. He loved fishing, hog hunting, and spending time with family and friends. 

Claude made his transition on Saturday, September 13, 2025. He was preceded in death by both parents, Claude Holman and Christine Holman (Malone), brothers David and Jeffrey Holman and sister Barbara Holman.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his wife of 24 years, Christine; children: Christian (Tina) of Montgomery, AL and Alexis of Knoxville, TN; and Colby the family pet. 

Six brothers, Edward “Buster” Davis (Mary) of Pine Bluff AR, Delsey, Anthony, Richard, Joseph, and Demarc (Wanda) of Detroit MI,  Four sisters-in-law, Louise, Melinda, and Sharon of Augusta, GA and Patricia Schaack of Frankfurt, Germany; one brother-in-law, Moses Pierce Jr.(Cathy) of Indianapolis, IN; cousin James L. Lewis (Mary), and cousin Donna Rhem (Ken).

Five Grandchildren: Christian Jr., Corey, Jonah, and Jaila of Mongomery, AL and Khalil of Knoxville, TN.

A host of aunties, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
