Clifford (Cliff) Deleon Thomas, Sr. peacefully transitioned to be with his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at his home.

Cliff is survived by his devoted wife, Evelyn Thomas of Knoxville, TN, and his dear children, Jeremy Thomas, Clifford Thomas, Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Brandan (Jessica) Thomas of Atlanta, GA, and Soweto (Willie) Frazier of Knoxville, TN. He is also remembered fondly by his sisters, Theresa Fletcher of Knoxville, TN, and Tina Fletcher of Hartford, CT, as well as his brothers, Ordro Fletcher and Christopher Fletcher of Connecticut. He leaves behind a legacy in his granddaughters, Janazia Thomas, Aliyah Thomas, Iyana Thomas, Ava Frazier, and Giavonni Thomas, along with a host of other beloved family members and friends.

Cliff is preceded in death by his mother, Kay V. Fletcher, stepfather James Fletcher, sisters Wanda Thomas and Rene Fletcher, and great-aunt Sarah Moore Greene of Knoxville, TN.

Having served in the armed forces, Cliff channeled his passion into advocating for young adults with disabilities, making significant contributions through his work with organizations like AAA and the Connecticut Board of Education. His genuine care for the younger generation led him to co-lead several youth organizations. Upon relocating to Knoxville, TN, he dedicated 20 years to serving the City of Knoxville before retiring, leaving a lasting impact through his unwavering commitment to community service.

Cliff's warm spirit knew no strangers; all fortunate enough to know and love him will miss his absence.
